    2015 Valspar Championship

March 12, 2015: Canstruction® attends the 2015 Valspar Championship in Palm Harbor, FL to bring to life Val, the Valspar chameleon. Val is most well-known for her television appearances, spouting Valspar Paint line as she changes color and interacts with her environment. Adding an additional skill to her repertoire, Val is representing Valspar giving back to the local community and increasing hunger awareness: transforming into a 20 foot long, 9 1/2 foot wide, and 6 1/2 foot tall structure created out of canned food.
Over the course of two days during the Valspar Championship, spectators and golfers alike marveled over Val coming to life in support of a local food bank. A total of 6,600 tuna cans were used to create the beloved Valspar mascot, all of which were donated to Feeding America Tampa Bay following the PGA TOUR event on March 16, 2015. This generous donation will feed thousands throughout the Tampa Bay area and will be remembered for years to come. With Valspar’s involvement, Canstruction can construct (and color) a world without hunger. For additional photos of Val the chameleon, please click here. Please refer to the Valspar Corporation website for information on the global leader in the paint and coatings industry. Additional information on the Valspar Championship can be found here.
