07/01/16 – Canstruction® continues its annual partnership with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Canada to create a life-size Jeep Wrangler® out of 5,000 full cans of food.

President and CEO of FCA Canada, Reid Bigland, stated that “after the success of last year’s build, it was a natural decision to return to Vancouver for another Jeep Wrangler Canstruction event” as “this effort reinforces FCA Canada and the FCA Foundation‘s commitment to helping those less fortunate.” The build “[propels] youth toward success through skills in science, technology, engineering and math – all while having fun!”

The CANtastic canned food Jeep was built with youth volunteers, ages 12 – 18 years, all local to Vancouver and interested in giving back while raising hunger awareness within their local community.

Having taken approximately 12 hours to complete, the Jeep was showcased at Canada Place’s annual Canada Day Celebration and seen by more than 250,000 event attendees. All were invited...
