Goya goes Canstruction PDF Print E-mail
ImageGoya Foods of Secaucus, NJ, asked Canstruction, Inc. to build a structure as the centerpiece of their first Distributors Conference.  Over 500 distributors were flying in from South and North America for the event.  Their logo, Goya Worldwide, was a perfect match for Canstruction to design a giant globe of the world.  A team of NYC designers and volunteers came together to adopt a globe initially created by McGill Smith Punshon of Cincinnati, OH.   Alberto Quinones, of Platt Byard Dovell White Architects in New York City lead the team, creating 3-D drawings to resize the original structure to accommodate Goya food products, which differed in height from those used by McGill Smith Punshon.  The Globe stood 8 feet tall when completed.  Attendees to the conference were in awe of the giant structure.  Goya was thrilled with the results and blew up an eight foot photo to project as the backdrop for their sales staff meeting later that weekend.  Canstruction was credited as a sponsor of the conference and Goya made a contribution to the Foundation.  Canstruction hopes that food distributors from around the world will become involved by donating or discounting food to local competitions.
