Go to our Participating Cities tab and locate a Canstruction competition near you to find your local chairpersons’ contact information. If there is not a participating city near you and you would like to host a competition visit our Host a Competition tab.

 

A team must be led by a professional in the design and/or construction industry such as an architect, engineer, designer, contractor or professor of any of these disciplines. 

 

Ideas on Ways to Form a Team and Compete

• Design firms compete against one another
• Design professionals mentor student teams (grade school, high school, college)
• Design professionals mentor corporate, club or civic organization teams

 

How to Obtain Food For Building Your Structure

• Your company or organization funds your team
• Contact food manufacturers, distributors and grocery stores for donations/discounts
• Organize a fund raiser to obtain food and/or cash donations
• Obtain sponsors to fund your team

 

The structure must be built within the time frame set by local competition chairperson, but not to exceed one 12 to 16 hour day. The competition has a set of very specific rules as to how the structures may be built. You may obtain a copy of the rules and regulations from your local city chairperson.
